| I just recently purchased a female corgi that will be a year this month. I have another corgi that is around the same age and wanted to get him a playmate. Evidentally, this female has never had anything done with her and has never even had a collar or leash on her. Seems like she was just in a pen with a bunch of other dogs and has just grown up that way. She will come to you in the yard if it is her idea and you can tell that she was never taught to trust people or listen to them. I have been working with her and keeping her with me trying to build trust and leading her around and giving her treats and stuff like that, but it just seems that as soon as she is off running on her own, she just goes back to doing whatever and won't listen and is very hard to catch. I have to turn my corgi out and get her to come to him in order to catch her. Do you think that with her age she will ever come around to trust people? It kinda bums me out because we go camping and things like that and I don't want to take her because I know that if she gets loose, I will never be able to catch her. Is there anything that I can do to help the situation? I even took her away from my other dog to where it is just me and her and she still seems really iffy around me. |

i think most of your answer is right there. it took Faith a long while to settle in with us and decide that we were good people. you are going to have to have alot of patience, but i believe it will pay off.
are you letting her come in the house? |

| Culture shock really is a burden for new dogs. Specially with the ones introduced to a big family. But from experience, they usually get along with the flow in time. Just don't let anyone harrass the new member. Might lead to something we dont like. |
