Generational Crosses

There are several different ways that breeders are producing Chugs. Ask the breeder you contact which type of hybrid they breed.

F1 = 50% Chihuahua and 50% Pug

This is a Chihuahua to Pug cross. This is called "first generation" and often results in healthier offspring.

F1-B = 25% Chihuahua and 75% Pug

F1 Chug and Pug cross

This is a Chug bred back to Pug, and the offspring will have more Pug characteristics.

F1-B = 25% Pug and 75% Chihuahua

F1 Chug and Chihuahua cross

This is a Chug bred back to Chihuahua, and the offspring will have more Chihuahua characteristics.

F2 = F1 Chug and F1 Chug cross

This combination gets you the same percentage of Chihuahua mix as you would from an F1 Chug.

F3 = F2 Chug and F2 Chug cross

Multi-generation = F3 or higher generation Chug and F3 or higher generation Chug cross

Amazon.com Product Description
With its range of up to 100 yards, this deluxe little-dog trainer provides the control needed to train canine companions under 40 pounds at home or even at the park. Use the trainer to deter unwanted behavior such as digging, chewing on furniture, jumping on guests, or barking. Or, it can be used for basic obedience training such as teaching the "come" command. The remote trainer offers 10 adjustable levels of stimulation, from 400 volts to 6000 volts, that can be changed with a quick flick of the thumb, ensuring the appropriate stimulus--just enough to get the dog's attention. The unit's transmitter provides a negative tone without correction and a negative tone with correction. After a few corrections with the tone, the pet then associates the tone with the correction, making it one of the most humane trainers available.
